Tilde washed her face with a lavender soap. Pearl slowly turned on her other side in their bed. It was afternoon, so it was time to go back to work soon. Villon ran under the bed from her chest. Morgenstern already got up with Tilde and now he was cleaning his fur.
The sun sometimes made a bouncy sparkle so the white rat looked like he was glowing.
The two animal arrived there few months ago, they were young rats, and a black and white rat especially together were so funny so Tilde and Pearl thought when they saw them - behind the house, in the garden - they should keep them for sure.
First it came to their minds, what if the rats are spying for the AG, or maybe came from a lab, and they have positioning chip in or on them, but they just didn't care. They were strong girls, saw horrible things, but they haven't become insane like most of the others who had a tragic life. They did a lot of things which were strongly illegal, but they were smart enough to slip away from the police and the spies of AG every time.
They weren't too rich to irritate all the big fish, but they were wealthy enough to live in a house with a garden, and they could offer some old fashioned food, like the slice of apple, what Villon chewed with great joy.
Tilde filled the bathtub with hot water and poured some lavender bath salt in it. Yeah bath salt, it was handmade and very old fashioned, not so many people could afford it.
The water was very soft with a gentle smell, like when you hug someone, and you only smell a hint of perfume. It felt like a piece of a forgotten realm. Tranquillity and sanity, when outside zombie hordes threaten the lives of billions of people, mysterious diseases and suspicious missing persons cases everywhere in the United Nations.
She took a deep breath and went under the water. It was like reborn. She loved lavender.
It was her biggest treasure. It kept her face and body nice and soothed her inner demons. She needed it since she was a zombie.
